Thyra
L. Mannozzi, M.C.R.P. is
the Executive Director and founder of HAIC. Ms. Mannozzi has
over thirteen years of project and emergency management experience.
Ms. Mannozzi was most recently Deputy Administrator for the District
of Columbia Department of Health, where she ran the bioterrorism
preparedness program. She was responsible for administering,
planning and implementing a $49.2 million grant funded program. Her
most notable accomplishments where creating the Emergency
Health Reserve Corps and writing the plans for pre and post
event smallpox for the District.
In
addition, she was the public health operational lead responding
to Hurricane Isabel, Ballou Mercury Spill, Anthrax Scare,
World War II Memorial and Lead in the Water.
Previous
to that she directed, planned and implemented the Nebraska
Statewide Trauma System. Ms. Mannozzi has a masters degree
in Community and Regional Planning from the University of
Nebraska.
